Garage Doors
Garage doors can be an integral part of your home’s appearance, but they also need to be reliable, durable and safe for your family too. While there are a variety of different options to choose from, your design requirements, budget or environment will mainly influence the type of garage door that is right for you and your home.
While the main function is to just be able to open the garage door, drive in and close it again, we can also help you with garage door systems and combinations for a variety of different needs of double garage door carports, single garage door carports or even setting your garage door and gate to operate smoothly and effectively for you on the same remote control.
You can call or email us with the opening size for the garage door, nominate a type and style of door you would like and we can work out an estimate price, as a guide, for you. If you would then like to proceed further, we can meet you at the property to confirm the dimensions, style and price of the garage door you require for your property.
ROLLER GARAGE DOORS
A roller door is a door that sits on two levelled brackets and rolls up vertically into a cylinder. These doors can often require a pelmet cover to hide the view of the roller cylinder from the road. The door itself has a nylon strip stapled to each edge that runs inside a channel that is fixed to the inside of the garage opening. A PVC rubber strip closes onto the ground and provides a seal to keep out any leaves or debris.
Roller Doors are reasonably limited in style and while these doors can all seem rather similar in look, there exists a great deal of choice in regards to the levels of quality and price offered. The colour selection to enhance your property is large. Please contact us for a selection of the colours available.
SECTIONAL GARAGE DOORS
A sectional door is made up of panels that are stacked vertically and bolted together with hinges to form a solid panel when closed. The door panel is supported with wheels that sit in vertical tracks that run through a radius and into horizontal tracks when opened. The door is balanced with cables and springs to allow effortless opening of the door.
Sectional doors come in an array of different materials that can create a wealth of finishes to choose from for your property. From natural timber doors to durable Colorbond® steel, even designs that include Perspex inserts, the style range is limitless.
AUTOMATING EXISTING GARAGE DOORS
If your door runs smoothly there may be no need to change it, as most standard garage doors can be automated with one of today’s products. There are a variety of different products available, all of which can be fitted to existing garage doors. The garage door product that we would recommend for you would mainly depend on the space available above and around your garage door as well as the size and weight of the garage door.
GARAGE DOOR SAFETY
The garage door motors we choose to install will sense an obstruction and automatically reverse to the open position. An obstruction could be a car or bike accidentally left in the doors path or worse still a person. To also improve safety, an infra red beam can be installed. If the beam is broken, the door will immediately stop and reverse to the open position.
Please Note: All Electric Garage Door Motors require a 240 volt power source from your house or property. Please note that we do not include connection to 240 Volts power, however this can be arranged separately for you.
